The majority of the observations from iNaturalist depict individuals in burrows or mature male individuals walking on hard, dry terrain, or on/near human structures. Much of the foliage is dry (potentially due to time of year for these observations)

October-March have the highest rainfall with around 6-8" per month (coupled with being the hottest months of the year). They rarely experience a "high" temperature below 80 degrees and often experience temps in the 90s during the day.

**Lassance** has a tropical savanna climate, characterized by distinct wet and dry seasons.
- The predominant soil type in this region is typically Latosol. They are often reddish or yellowish in color due to the presence of iron and aluminum oxides.
