Of the over 100 sightings posted to iNaturalist - almost all of these photos have Caribena versicolor pictured on something **dry.** Although the humidity is higher, these tarantulas are actively seeking dry locations. Some are utilizing human structures while others are on leaves or higher up in trees.

While it is important to note the humidity of these locations - replicating this in a small glass box has proven to be detrimental and even deadly without proper airflow and cross ventilation.
